CHARLIE CHAMPION v PHILIP MASON: The Interview [11/06/2011]

"I told everyone that I'd get here one day. What a year it's been for me. 11 wins in 9 months, 7 knockouts." - Charlie "Champion" Zelenoff

Charlie Zelenoff, amateur boxer extraordinaire, put his strength on display in the video below, for the entire world to see. After witnessing the life-changing power of the video, I was able to score an interview with the man, the myth, the G.O.A.T., the one and only Charlie "Champion" Zelenoff.

"0:19-0:20, no human can punch like that. I'm the best ever to do it. I'm a fucking animal. Watch that shit, man." - Charlie Champion, November 5th 2011

Philip Mason Charlie Champion, this is blowing my mind to pieces. I've seen great white sharks torpedo themselves into pure steel submarines and sink them to the greatest depths of the oceanic abyss with less power-per-square-inch than this. It's like you're a fist-gift delivery man who is working faster than usual so he can get off work early to get home in time for Christmas. I've never cried while watching any display of human strength. Until now.

Charlie Champion yeah im fighting klitschko in belgrade in July 2012 im gonna Kill that dude. with that kind of power guaranteed victory for me

Philip Mason Do you think you'll fight both Klitschko brothers at the same time, since fighting one would be too easy for you?

Charlie Champion with that much power shit i can knock anyone and anything out. 4,979 PSI thats 2 and a half tons. put a god damn 2,000 LB bear in front of me hes going down not only do i have great power but look at the speed . look at how fast i deliver those power punches 0:37-0:38 with an Injured hand. Amazing Shit aint it

Philip Mason I've watched the video several times in my spare time. Charlie, tell me something. How do you get so much power behind your punches? How did you get so strong? Were you made this way or have you trained to get where you are today?

Charlie Champion both i train all the time always in the gym always hitting the bag always knocking people out i scored 7 knockouts this year just knocked out oleg kud [note: Oleg Kud is just some guy - not a boxer - and the "fight" Charlie is referring to was actually a brief couple of punches in the street, or on a sidewalk, not actually taking place in the ring during an official match] on october 19 i was born to do this well when i reached my prime i started hitting so hard that i realized i could beat anybody yeah i have superhuman ability no boxer in the world or in history can compete with me i hit too hard id beat a prime ali

Philip Mason Charlie, some have said that Oleg Kud was the best of the best, one of the most elite fighters in his class - a veritable Siberian Tiger of boxing, both underground and professional alike. But others have claimed that Oleg Kud is a no-name kid without talent or proper training. Indeed, some have called him the Creed of boxing lore, a wimp without a prayer, a puny kid that anyone could knock out with nothing more than a flick of the wrist. Do you think that your famous fight with Oleg has prepared you for the pros? Was this the fight that proved you to be a champion? Or is that fight yet to come?

Charlie Champion First of all I take pride in knocking oleg kud out not because he was a great fighter he wasnt shit i just hate that muthafucker and i finally beat his ass in an actual fight where i landed 3 shots and broke the guys jaw. scottie is my witness his own people came up to my people and said olegs jaw is wired. ive won 11 fights in 9 months man beating some good opponents i knocked out a 6'4 220 lb heavyweight with 2 punches being a 6'0 middleweight knocking out a 6'4 heavyweight with 2 shots is quite impressive i did it . witness confirms it all right here

Charlie Champion i hit oleg 2 times in the jaw and he dropped he got back up i landed a punch on his shoulder and he was out. thats how hard i hit that the final punch landed in that fight was on his shoulder i kod that muthafucker

Charlie Champion but yeah right here i destroyed a cruiserweight in las vegas 1:48-1:49 i landed 6 power shots in 1 second look at this. 1:45 thats what you call finesse world class skill right there man

Philip Mason Your record is impressive to say the least. There's a lot of chatter amongst boxing fans about your superhuman abilities and your vicious "beat his ass KO power shot combo" fighting style. Retired legends of boxing have been asked about you, and if they would step into the ring with you if they were still boxing, and each of them has said NO WAY. What do you make of this? Are you ever surprised to hear that other fighters are afraid of you? If Oleg Kud dies from complications with his jaw wiring, will you speak his eulogy? The Kud family has expressed mixed feelings about the Champion (you), saying that although you beat up their second favorite son for no reason, they can't help but respect your strength and skill.

Charlie Champion thanks, not a bit surprised man i proved my self this year set a record 11 wins in 9 months. beat ray robinsons record, won fighter of the year. scored 7 knockouts wladimer klitschko was looking for a way to back out but they told me that he demanded a 80/20 split or no fight and i agreed. so wlad klitschko is gonna get knocked out cold next year in belgrade 32,000 in attandance you see i know klitschkos people in real life and my trainer is cassius green and he said he wants me to sign some contracts with him so he can represent me when i fight klitschko and all of this will be documented when im in vegas cassius green will give his prediction to the world even tho the world knows im gonna beat wlad. and i beat oleg kud down for many reasons the guys been talking shit about me for ages and i had to show him he found out the hard way

Charlie Champion with this much force 4,979 PSI i can beat any man in the world. Klitschko, Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Anybody

Philip Mason A group of Eastern European primitivists, mostly Ukrainians and Poles living on farms and in rural wooded areas, have knit themselves into something of a Klitschko cult. Reports coming out of Russia and Ukraine claim these devoted men and women have created a sort of religion around Volodymyr Volodymyrovych Klychko. If you fight Klitschko and knock him out, are you worried about the reaction of these loyal fans? Captain Cassius has been known to throw his fighters to the wolves, so to speak, when the wolfpacks come out of the woods to hunt for the enemies of their heroes or idols. If you defeat Klitschko, are you afraid the "Klitschko kult' may label you an enemy and attack you with their numbers? It's not likely they are trained fighters, nor is there any evidence they possess superhuman strength comparable to your own, but the unknown quantities of these people is what may pose the greatest threat.

Between watching your training videos and your other videos that put your power on display, I've taken some time to calculate your odds against the Klitschko Kult. With your KO punch of 4,979 PSI, you could easily vanquish a child or a grown man. But the rapidity of your punches and the consistency of the power in these lightning attacks is what matters. Surely, if you strike an opponent who has two or three other opponents lined up directly behind him, you'll send all of them flying. But what if their attacks are not in such an inappropriate formation? If you are attacked by two, three, four people at a time, from different sides, would you be able to win? Based on my opinion of you, which is stratospherically high, I believe you would. What do you think?

Charlie Champion first of all i dont care who supports klitschko im going to belgrade in july to knock wladimer out. thats it im not worried about anything else cassius green will announce on video tommorow that the fight is indeed going down and im gonna go down as the greatest fighter in history of boxing when i KO wladimer klitschko

Charlie Champion oh yeah i can beat 3-4 people in a street fight at once im that good. im really strong i hit with an insane ammount of force and im lightning quick so yeah id win

Philip Mason You've been quoted in interviews saying, "I'm gonna make history. I'm gonna be the first fighter in boxing history to beat both of the Klitschko brothers. Him and his brother." When the Klitschko brothers heard this statement, what was their response to you? Have you ever detected the sound of fear in their voices when you talk to them?

Charlie Champion well the last time i talked to the klitschkos was 7 years ago when they trained in the same gym as me labrea boxing that gym changed to pound 4 pound they changed the name now thier out of business. but i know wladimer klitschkos personal friend i seen him at the photo shoot and i told him that i wanna fight wlad and he said hell get ahold of him now im getting emails saying the fight is on in belgrade in july so in 8 months your gonna witness me KO klitschko cassius green knows manny steward even if i wasnt getting emails saying the fights on it would still be on because for 1 its on a magazine thats coming out in february of me punching wladimer klitschko so yeah in july 2012 im gonna make it a reality when i drop that muthafucker thing is im such a great athlete i can come in any fight doing what ever i want throwing any combo the fight is over as soon as i connect. lights out i might just decide to throw 6 bombs on klitschkos chin and land all 6 shots in 1 second. would make for a great HBO highlight reel 0:25-0:26 watch that not even mike tyson or roy jones come close

Philip Mason Charlie, many people have examined your style - experts and amateurs alike. It's inexplicable how you perform so concretely and effectively in the ring. Your training videos have blown minds for years. Recently, some have remarked that your entire style and approach to boxing is a glorious example of the Dunning–Kruger effect, the pinnacle in execution of such a radical personal characteristic. Do you believe this is an adequate summation of your style or is there something more, below the surface, that you're not showing your fans?

Sadly, the Champion ended the interview here. K.O. by hurt feelings.
